Description | The aim of the paper was to map the nautical metaphors and to characterize their symbolic value in the context of the works of Greek surrealists A. Embirikos and N. Engonopulos as well as in the broader context of European modernism. Attention was also paid to the metaphor of the water element in general, as both authors use it in accordance with the principles of Freud's psychoanalysis. |
