Citation
Description The aim of this paper was to briefly introduce life and literary work of Master Symon Leonis de Tyssnow (ca. 1370–1432), a medieval scholar with roots in the Moravian town called Tišnov, a defender of John Wyclif’s philosophy, an ardent supporter of the Bohemian reformation stream and, eventually, an objector, or rather an opponent, of those who followed the teachings of John Wyclif and Jan Hus. The focus was on the Symon’s very first literary manifestation, i.e., Defensio of John Wyclif’s treatise De probationibus propositionum which is also known under the title Logicae continuatio.
