Description | The tourist destination is usually defined as the geographical area chosen by a visitor. In addition to this concept, there are other approaches to defining a destination, e.g., a destination is considered to be a complex product, a complex socio-economic system or a network composed of stakeholders with formal and informal relations. Contemporary research is often based on the concept of a destination as a complex system in which interactions between the tourism stakeholders take place. For this reason, the evaluation of interactions is of particular socio-economic nature. However, the problem with some external determinants affecting the behaviour of the stakeholders also requires a spatial perspective. From the analysis of the interaction in the tourist-exposed area of Jeseníky Mountains arises that there are more intensive links among stakeholders who are geographically closer. When modeling a network of stakeholders using the force algorithm ForceAltlas 2, better connectivity is demonstrated between stakeholders coming from the same area within the destination. It can also be observed that interactions between stakeholders are more frequent in attractive localities for tourism development. |
