Description | The study deals with use of the trigger sensor for diagnostics and triggering in biathlon training by youth and junior categories. The SCATT Shooting Trainer and Trigger Sensor were used to measure. The study was attended by 16 biathletes (8 girls: age 17.9 ± 1.1 years; 8 boys: age 17.1 ± 0.4 years). The first measurement took place in June 2018, after a two-month intervention, a second measurement took place. The results of triggering in the last second before a shot were measured by the girls group: June 2018 - rest 74.7%; I. int. 71.5%; II. int. 73.6%; III. int. 71.6%; August 2018 - rest 78.8%; I. int. 77.4%; II. int. 78.6%; III. int. 78.3%. Improvements in girls achieved an average of 5.4% after a two-month intervention, at III. intensity was the biggest improvement - 6.7%. The results of triggering in the last second before a shot were measured by the boys group: June - rest 86.4%; I. int. 84.8%; II. int. 85.8%; III. int. 80.2%; August - rest 90.4%; I. int. 89.8%; II. int. 89.8%; III. int. 87.8%. Improvements in boys group reached an average of 5.2% after two-month intervention, in III. intensity was the same as for girls - 7.6%. Based on the research, biathlon trainers may be advised to use a trigger sensor and a shooting simulator to diagnostics of shooting skills and to biathlon training itself. |
