Description | The main goal of the article is to analyze the municipalities amenity of the South Moravian Region on a sample of 150 municipalities focusing on grocery stores and restaurant facilities. The analysis is partly related to the past research carried out by the South Moravian Region in 2012. This is a basic description and analysis of continuously obtained data from the municipalities of the South Moravian Region as a part of a broader research of the current factors influencing selected service functions in rural areas with an emphasis on retail. This analysis of the obtained data serves to improve the territorial and thematic targeting of the above mentioned larger research. Data for the analysis were obtained from a questionnaire survey among mayors of the municipalities. These data were classified according to size categories of the municipalities. A simple cluster analysis was used for the classification. The data were further described in the clusters and their basic analysis was carried out: counting the change index and frequency of occurrences according to selected types of service functions. There was a considerable dependence of the presence of higher and lower services and retail on the size of the municipality, including identification of the size limit for their presence. It turned out that all monitored retail and services had fallen since 2012, while the surgeries of doctors were added. |
