Description | The contribution focused on proposed legal regulation regarding control of CO2 emissions from new passenger vehicles and light duty vehicles. Proposed regulation stems from the need to reduce CO2 emissions in transport sector, which contributes to quarter of all produced CO2 emissions in European Union. The need to reduce CO2 emissions results from rapid climate changes that are happening due to the global warming, which is a result of accumulation of air pollutants of greenhouse gasses in Earth’s atmosphere. The contribution analysed only selected issues from proposed regulation, which could prove difficult to interpret in the future. It was found out that some of the articles have negative potential to be misused by vehicle manufactures, which could result in circumvention of the objective of proposed regulation. |
