Description | The author of the present investigation analyses the connection between Gorky’s novels and the poetics of Russian modernism of the Silver Age at the material of the small novels of the Okurov cycle and, mainly, of the Life of Klim Samgin, and the opinions of the Czech specialists in Russian studies of the past and the present, e. g. T. G. Masaryk, Miroslav Zahrádka, Zdeněk Pechal, the Czech discussion on Gorky in 1986 stressing the contribution of the Brno specialist J. Burian whose habilitation study going back to the 1960s was published in the Russian translation in 2017. |
