Description | The world is today literally obsessed with images. We find them everywhere, but they are increasingly dominated by two-dimensional displays. For the new generations, these images are often more real than reality. It is then difficult to tell them about a time when a lot of images rested on their material reality and (often) uniqueness? The aim of my paper is to introduce a method of teaching medieval art, which is intended to lead students to "touch" on the artifacts they study. The power of medieval art was however also in its connection with rituals and their performative power. Therefore, I would also like to think about how it is possible to activate the artistic subject of the past, through the experience of one's own body. Finally I would like to investigate how the present experience can help to understand the past. |
