| Description | The study presents an analysis of the music to the movie Radúz and Mahulena by Petr Weigl (1939-2018), shot in 1970 based on Julius Zeyer's drama of the same name with the stage music by Josef Suk. The objective is to analyse in an interesting way how the music dramaturge of the movie, composer Luboš Fišer, transformed Suk's music for the movie. Cooperating with Weigl's screenplay and direction, he created a new full-scale form of Suk's work. He used parts of the original stage music as well as the suite Pohádka, composed by Suk for concert performance based on the stage music motives. |
