Description The article was created as the result of the research oriented at the innovation of the content and forms of teaching mathematics at primary schools. The article is devoted to special parts of theory of divisibility used in teaching future elementary teachers. With the help of the set of examples it is shown that introducing of this topic to the students is not useless and, for example, with the help of congruences and diophantine equations it is possible to solve a lot of interesting problems. Finally, the theory of divisibility is a suitable topic for the development of student`s thinking because it`s basically connected with the teaching at elementary stage of the basic school.
