Description | In this paper, I am going to discuss several questions. First, what is the production dynamics of innovation through a spiral narrative schema? After all, the applications of a spiral narrative are a highly repetitive phenomenon. They are repetitive internally, whey they handle with rather complex storytellings about repetition and variation. However, they are repetitive externally as well, yet those sets of devices and tactics on how to keep the viewer‘s attention are relatively limited. Furthermore, with the help of the case of films HAPPY DEATH DAY and HAPPY DEATH DAY 2U, I will ask: How could the creators proceed if they decided to make a sequel? If the spiral scheme is an innovative tool, how is conceivable to innovate innovation? |
