Description | Because of its sensitivity, specificity and possibility of quantification, the most suitable method of detection of viruses in food and environment is a real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). In the case of viruses with RNA genome, qPCR is preceded by a reverse transcription step. However, this approach has a major disadvantage in a limited ability to create multiplex systems for rapid detection of multiple pathogens. Therefore, the diagnostic tool which allows in vitro detection of NoV (NoV GI, NoV GII), HAV, HEV (HEV-1, HEV-3), AdV 40/41 and RVA in various types of matrices (water, food, clinical material, swabs of environment or hands) in one reaction has been developed. This detection tool, “xMAP panel - detection of NoV (NoV GI, NoV GII), HAV, HEV (HEV-1, HEV-3), AdV 40/41 and RVA”), is unique in its composition and ease of use. The kit also includes an external sample analysis control (EAC) that allows valid analysis of each single sample |
