| Description | This publication presents an overview of information on the field of Ophthalmology and its usability in the interdisciplinary cooperation of medical and assisting professions. The book contains an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the eye and the process of vision, the development of the eye and visual functions, an overview of basic examination methods in ophthalmology and the most common ocular pathologies. This is complemented by chapters on behavioral optometry, including the behavioral approaches used in this optometric direction, and chapters on visual impairments, social services for the peole with visual impairment, and a section on eye injury prevention. The purpose of this publication is to support interdisciplinary cooperation of health care workers with other professions. |
