Description | The paper is focused on orthographic analysis of the book Přemyšlování o osmeru blahoslavenství s výkladem a naučením (Halle, 1738) by Eliáš Milec. Main focus is on orthographic phenomena that had not been established yet in the 18th century, or that were typical for exile prints. Those are for example the orthographic form of /j/, /š/, /g/, /ř/, distribution of letters i, s, l, distribution of major and minor letters, indication of quantity and interpunction. As expected, it was found that, contrary to prints published in Czech lands, Přemyšlování exhibit greater influence of other languages, such as Slovak or German. In accordance with existing research, it was also found that it corresponds to orthographic norms of the Bible of Kralice. |
