Description | The presentation was focused on the role of context in the travel of metaphorical idioms. Context is understood as comprising four broad areas: siutational, discourse, cognitive-conceptual and bodily. Although it is believed that all four types of context influence the use of idiomatic expressions, it is also believed that it is the situational context which played the most crucial role in their production. |
