Description | Nowadays, cloud computing is the central of modern technology, the core of archival technology. At the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in United States, a series of policies have been made deal with the limitations that exist in the Government archive policy of the digital era that stands out as the online storage in the cloud computing environment. What archivists in the United States are dealing with are valuable experiences for countries around the world, when governments confront the reality of electronic or digital records increasing and complicated in the public sector. However, records management in the "cloud" also has to meet the requirements of a traditional archival record, they are integrity, authenticity, legality. This article examines the experiences of the NARA in the application of cloud computing in archives, as well as the records management policies in the digital age. |
