Description | The paper presents an applied research in which new media art historians and engineers of artificial neural networks work in mutual synergy on development of machine learning tools for an archive of videoart by Steina and Woody Vasulka, its analyses and presentation. There are set two goals to be gained: 1) To develop analytical tools in the form of artificial neural networks specializing in the examination of Vašulkas' videos in terms of content analysis of sound and image; 2) To mediate the poetics of Vašulkas work, based primarily on the manipulation of electronic image and sound in real time, which the authors themselves called the "applied philosophy" of the relationship between man and technology. In the presentation, the dataset we work with, the platform we use for training unique artificial neural networks for content analysis of videos in terms of image and sound, and design of website will be introduced to the audience. |
