Description This article deals with the adjectival form of street’s proper names (for example Nerudova = Neruda’s street, Pekařská = Bakers’ street), when when used in postposition with the Czech appellative ulice (street): ulice Nerudova (street Nerudova), ulice Pekařská (street Pekařská). The author of this article tries to find out, if those adjectival street’s proper names are used in the form of the congruent attribute (v ulici Nerudově = in the street Nerudově, v ulici Pekařské = in the street Pekařské), i.e. if the names are regularly declined as the Czech adjectives, or if they are used in the indeclinable nominative form. There have been found that about 77 % of the adjectival names with the Czech suffix -ův and about 84 % of the adjectival names with the Czech suffix -ský/-cký are used more frequently in the indeclinable nominative form than in the form of the congruent attribute. The phrases “ulice + adjectival proper name” were found in the Czech National Corpus.
