Description This article presents partial findings from research focused on foster children's capabilities and expectations. The paper aims to introduce the concept of capabilities based on the capability approach as an innovative way to the application of human rights. The analysis firstly shows the current situation of children in foster care and their specific conditions in the context of human rights. Secondly, the study offers a conceptualization of foster children's capabilities list identified by theoretical analysis of relevant resources focused on the capability approach as a potential instrument for social workers at various levels.
