Description | The performance is devoted to L. N. Andreyev to the end of Romanov rule. Andreyev sees the event as a significant change in the situation in Russia. In his texts, which he publishes in the newspaper "Russkaya volya," he embodies his ideas about the messianic role of the Russian military. It is she who, in his view, is called upon to lead a revolution that will liberate not only Germany but all European nations and lead to the creation of a state made up of the united nations of Europe. But such a vision of the military's role was not real, for it described wishes rather than reality, nor did it reflect the state of the Russian "nation." |
