Description | Closely related to the issue of legal instruments for dealing with pandemics in contemporary legal states is the question of liability for damage caused by the application of these instruments. The paper seeks to approach the issue of liability of the Czech Republic for damage caused to the addressees of public administration in the causal connection with public administration measures intended to respond to the pandemic of the covid-19 disease ("pandemic measures"). More specifically, the paper analyses two liability regimes regulated by the Crisis Act and the so-called Pandemic Act and focuses on their specifics and application problems. Voluntary compensation provided by the Czech state for a similar purpose, but on a completely different legal basis, is also reflected. |
