Description | The study deals with the educational potential of game principles in e-learning from the perspective of actors in the educational process. It explores how digital games can enter teaching and learning at university, whether educational game principles are compatible with the logic of the dominant educational paradigm and what are their advantages and disadvantages. A summary of the partial results of thematic analysis of interviews with university teachers and experts on e-learning will help us clarify their attitudes to online learning with game elements and deepen our understanding of the role they can effectively fulfill in education. Based on the discussion of findings, we recommend to teachers and developers of the online learning environments how they could improve the design of e-learning in accordance with the needs and different learning styles of students. |
