Description | It turns out that, despite the demanding nature of social work, it also has its positive aspects, and that the practical difficulties of social work are not just a burden to bear, but are conducive to growth and development (McAllister and McKinnon 2009; Rose and Palattiyil 2020). And this turns our attention to the issue of resilience. The brevity of the article does not allow us to go into the concept of resilience in depth, so we will limit ourselves to a brief definition. Resilience refers to the developmental processes that enable workers to manage the difficulties of their occupation and reach a desired level of well-being, even when they experience professional failure (Punová 2020). The article aims to answer the question: "How to strengthen social workers' resilience?". We present research on social workers' resilience in the Czech Republic. Before that, we will present strategies to develop social workers' resilience. |
