Description | The article deals with the event that took place on June 10, 1939 in the occupied city of Náchod. In the morning hours of this day, there was a shooting in the streets of the city, which culminated in the shooting of the Czech police officer Jaroslav Müller. The perpetrators of the murder were two members of the Schutzpolizei, who were returning from the pub drunk through the streets of Náchod. The circumstances of Müller's murder are viewed in the context of a similar death of the German police officer Wilhelm Kniest, who had been shot just two days earlier in Kladno. |
