Description | The presentation focuses on the results of an empirical validation study in which six methods measuring cognitive style were adapted (on the Hypothesis platform). Specifically, these are three modifications of Navon's Hierarchical Figures, an adaptation of the Framed-Lined Test, the Extended-Cognitive-Style-Analytic/Wholistic and the Analyst-Holism Scale. The psychometric properties of measurement instruments on a sample of 384 participants, collected in two-time waves, are presented and critically discussed. The lecture also includes a critical discussion of the concept of cognitive style and methods of its measurement. |
