| Description | The contribution searches for the trails of Bergsonism in concepts of Czech interwar artists and theorists, i. g. K. Teige, J. Frejka, J. Voskovec, J. Werich, and Václav Černý. Bergson´s books influenced the Czech reception of the Avant-guard vital movements, especially Futurism and Dadaism. Bergson´s concepts of laugher, duration and creativity can explain specific tendencies of Czech Theatre Art towards improvisation, spontaneity, and anti-illusionist principles, or against the mechanization of the life. |
