| Description | The chapter in the book on Central European artistic exchange is devoted to the painter Jaroslav Věšín (1860-1915), who connected several countries: native Bohemia, Slovakia as a source of motives for his genre scenes from rural life, Poland through the work of Józef Brandt and Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski, and finally Bulgaria, where he lived and worked from 1897 until the end of his life. The town of his artistic training and previous successful place of work was Munich, as was the case with both mentioned Polish painters. |
