| Description | Jan Mukařovský had many friends among artists. He had a particularly strong bond of friendship with the Czech writer Vladislav Vančura. Mukařovský critically reflected on Vančura's work as early as the 1930s and later decided to dedicate a separate monograph to him. Unfortunately, he never completed it. Although only a torso of the original plan was written and published, Mukařovský's interpretative starting points can be outlined on this basis. |
