| Description | During the second half of the 19th century, the inhabitants of the Bohemian and Moravian countryside began putting away their traditional folk costumes and replacing them with ready-made clothing. This inclination to international fashion was criticized by supporters of folk culture who argued that Czech identity will disappear along with the discarded fol costumes. |
