Description | In contemporary Canadian literature, we can notice an increased production of dystopias or novels with the motif of the end of the world. Despite the worldwide popularity of Anglophone writers such Emily St. John Mandel and Margaret Atwood, novels, films, but also poetry with an eschatological theme are created mainly in francophone Quebec. On the examples of several contemporary novels and one film adaptation, I try to approach the motive of escape, with which Quebec authors often work in their oeuvres. |
