| Description | The work of Aleš Veselý (1935-2015) occupies an exceptional position in the context of Czech art thanks to his ability to combine the most fundamental questions about the essence of phenomena with an intrinsically intimate experience in monumental forms. It explores the principles of natural forces and the latent manifestations of energy between individual elements, and draws man into the cosmic cycle with its universal principles. Key periods that led to Vesely's desert and landscape projects included a fellowship in the USA in the mid-1980s. During this time Veselý's series of monumental expressive "paint-drawings," which form the core of the exhibition, came to a close. |
