Description The paper presents the results of rescue archaeological research in the area of the former Vlněná factory in Brno (Dornych / Vlněna street), which was carried out in 2019 and revealed a relic of the industrial operation of the entrepreneur M. Redlich. He operated woolen goods here in the years 1845-1872. Subsequently, the factory was taken over by S. Schönfeld and then by Paul Neumark. Factory buildings disappear in the 1920s. Rescue archaeological research succeeded in uncovering and documenting part of the factory building with facilities for the steam engine and, above all, the adjacent boiler room building with a furnace and channels for boilers. The rest of the foundations of the so-called wet gas tank were also captured in the factory yard.
