Description At the end of the 1990s, in the Czech Republic, as in other European countries, a branch of pagan and subsequently folk metal was made of black metal, within which many bands and their fans identify with Paganism. The contribution deals with prominent Czech pagan black metal bands and asks the question which Others are created in their art and interviews. Because this branch of pagan metal was founded on strong anti-Christianity, it will be specifically focused on the construction of Christianity as an enemy. With regard to the formation of Others, the paper also mentions the recent initiative to help Ukrainian pagan and black metal bands (especially from the Kharkov area) through benefitial concerts in the context of the defensive war against Russia's hostile invasion of Ukraine.
