| Description | Titled Academic Study of Religions in a Cognitive, Anthropological and Sociological Perspective, this book focuses mainly on current approaches in contemporary study of religions without neglecting their historical context. The book is targeted at advanced readers, i.e. mainly doctoral students of religious studies; however, it is equally suitable for students from related fields. As the main criterion, we have chosen theoretical and methodological approaches that we wish to develop within the study of religions at Palacký University in Olomouc, mainly the cognitive one, but also other approaches with a long tradition in our academia, such as sociology of religion and anthropology of religion. Although this work is tailor-made specifically for our doctoral students, it can nonetheless become an inspiration for experts in religious studies or for anyone interested in religious issues. |
