| Description | The monograph deals with the constitutional system of Czechoslovakia in the period of socialism. Its concept is very broad, covering all state-law problems, that socialist Czechoslovakia faced. Not only the main areas regulated by the constitution are described in detail (legislative, executive, governmental and judicial powers), but also extensive treatises on electoral law and the status of Slovakia. Biographies are also included of the most important First Republic constitutionalists. Individual chapters are interspersed with rich pictorial documentation, especially portraits of famous Czech and Slovak politicians. The publication includes a collection of all important constitutional law documents and an exhaustive bibliographical appendix. |
