| Description | On the Armenian-Turkish border today stands the ruins of a 7th century temple. It is the Basilica of Mren, which, in terms of quality of construction and decoration, can rival the most impressive works of art of its time from the Persian Kingdom through the Byzantine Empire to Western Europe. How is it possible, then, that today this monument is in an absolutely deplorable state? Why is no one looking after it? Who wanted to destroy it and why?
