Description | The main goal of the diploma thesis is to evaluate regional unemployment dynamics and its sensitivity to the business cycle in the Czech Republic. The initial aim of the thesis is to explain the motivation behind the use of spatial econometrics tools and the characteristics of spatial data. The literature review then provides a summary of the results of empirical papers that use the chosen econometric methods in the analysis of regional unemployment. After introducing the models, attention is then given to the methodology and data used in the thesis. Finally, the results of the econometric models used in the analysis of regional unemployment in the Czech Republic are summarized and presented graphically. |
