| Description | The amendment to the so-called Pandemic Act (Act No. 94/2021 Coll., as amended by Act No. 39/2022 Coll.) introduced, inter alia, a special provision for ordering isolation or quarantine measures. The public health authority may now give notice of an isolation order (quarantine measure) to protect against COVID-19 via means of remote communication – typically by SMS or telephone call. How is this move towards modernisation of public administration reflected in the legal form of the act? What are the implications of this atypical form for the protection of the rights of the addressees? |
