| Description | Since the publication of the CEFR-Companion Volume, mediation has grown in importance. It is defined as the fourth language activity alongside reception, production and interaction and is considered a key competence in today's plurilingual and pluricultural society. Even in their daily work, language users encounter numerous situations in which they become mediators, whether between two or more languages (interlingual mediation) or within one language (intralingual mediation). Participants are invited to engage (after a theoretical introduction) in interlingual as well as intralingual mediation tasks, in the through which they discover the potential of mediation in career-oriented teaching. |
