Description | We studied the adsorption of histones on the surface of a charged hanging drop mercury electrode (HDME) and their consequent engagement in the catalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (CHER), focusing on determining the influence of amino acid residues and the protein orientation in CHER processes. Using constant current chronopotentiometric stripping (CPS) analysis and an impedance analysis we show that CPS responses of histones depend not only on the amino acid content, but also on posttranslational modifications. |
