| Description | Soviet cinema had privileged position on the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Soviet films were during the years 1948–1988 awarded on every from 24 editions of Karlovy Vary festival, and 13 times won Grand prix – the Crystal Globe. The chapter examines periodical circumstances the festival awards for Soviet production and cases, when the Soviet film deserved the highest award, for example Nine Days of One Year (1962) and Romance for Lovers (1974). |
