| Description | This book compares the Spanish Inquisition to the French Inquisition to ask why the Spanish one became totalitarian but not the French and it also compares Sweden to Nazi Germany to explain why Germany became totalitarian, but not Sweden. This book also shows that “evil” is not banal and explains why people are willing to commit “evil” acts in support of totalitarian regimes. |
