Description The lecture was devoted to the development of justice during communist totalitarianism. First, the initial state of affairs (influenced by the existence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) was recalled, and then attention was paid to critical events in the development of the judiciary. The existence of the retributive courts, the State Court, the introduction of the election of judges, then the Comrades' Courts and the Local People's Courts were recalled. Finally, attention was paid to the key actors (judges, lay judges).
