| Description | The chapter deals with the development of interests in art and craft, their disappearance, and the development of the self-expression movement in the world, and also in our country. It focuses on the formation of a movement that sought inspiration in the vernacular. These tendencies also had a significant impact on Wallachia. The artistically gifted Jaroňek family had the opportunity to look for inspiration not only abroad, but also took advantage of the interest and established craft workshops for the production of souvenirs in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The chapter further analyses the motifs of utilitarian objects that came from these workshops. |
