| Description | The article examines several Czech books for children and young adults dealing with the theme of family ties. The main focus is a portrayal of the Czech family in the historical context of the second half of the 20th century, when the country was under the communist regime. We concentrate on books which reflect the changes in those times, for example the breakup of a traditional family as well as documentation of how the communist ideology influenced private family lives. |
