| Description | In addition to the history and context of scenario development, the workshop on future scenarios was mainly devoted to the explanation of methodological procedures and the subsequent application of scenario methods in practice. Members of the Department of Socio-Ecological Analysis presented their own research to their colleagues. Then the workshop participants focused on modelling possible future scenarios and had the opportunity to try out participatory research methods. During the process, they used scenarios known as Shared Socio-Economic Pathways (SSPs), which show possible trajectories of socio-economic change at the global level by 2100 and are used for climate policymaking. The workshop aimed to enhance the development of a transdisciplinary approach to research on social-ecological systems and resilience. |
