Description | Digital technologies have become an integral part of people's lives and are often so common, that they are "invisible" to us. Yet they raise many questions or even disputes, whether in families or in schools. Parents think their children should learn from books and not be distracted by mobile phones. Children think that parents do not understand technology and therefore forbid it. Teachers see the mobile phone as a distraction at school, but students use it routinely outside of school, so why not at school? We could list many more situations like this. But the question is how to explain these different perspectives on the use of technology. Are they really completely different perspectives on the same topic? Is the young generation really completely different? Are all young people adept at using technology? Do they spend so much time with technology that we can talk about technology addiction? In this presentation, the author will present some ways of thinking about digital technologies in the lives of different generations, in learning or in the work of (primary) school. The author draws on his own research that he has carried out in recent years, but also on interdisciplinary studies of the issue. |
