Description The article focuses on the probationary period and termination of employment during the probationary period. Initially, the reader is introduced to the characteristics of the probationary period and the conditions under which this can be negotiated by the parties to the employment relationship. Subsequently, the current legislation on the extension of the probationary period is analysed, with an assessment of whether it is possible to do so or whether such an action is associated with the consequence of nullity. The question of failure to comply with the form of the agreement of a probationary period, the termination of the employment relationship during the probationary period and the question of failure to comply with its form will also not be left out of interest. Finally, it is answered whether a probationary period can be negotiated for agreements held outside the employment relationship.
