| Description | The focus of the corpus study is the conjunction wie in German, or ako in Slovak and jak/jako in Czech. This synsemanticon provides metaphorical similes in the language - mostly nominal (škandál ako hrom – Leben wie ein Roman, Kraft wie ein Herkules), adjectival (dumm wie Bohnenstroh) and verbal (lügen wie gedruckt). Results: The most frequent comparisons in German, Slovak and Czech; common or occassional usage; matching of (lexical) motivation.
