| Description | I chaired the three-day Social Policy, Social Work and the Welfare State stream held at the annual ESPAnet conference in Tampere, Finland. I organized the stream in collaboration with Prof. John Gal (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel) and Prof. Idit Weiss-Gal (Tel Aviv University, Israel). The scholars not only from Europe presented their work on the crossroads of social work and social policy in their respective countries. We discussed new ways of understanding the complex reality of social workers influencing social policies in Germany, Israel, Italy, Switzerland, France, and the Czech Republic. |
